The command-line dnf utility can automatically identify and remove orphaned packages - unused libraries and other packages - when you upgrade or remove software. Problems quickly show up when comparing pkcon and dnf, the command-line interfaces of PackageKit and DNF respectively: It’s worth noting here that both the Pacman backend for Arch Linux and APT backend for Ubuntu seem to be in a much better shape than the DNF backend in PackageKit. In other words: GNOME Software and Plasma Discover, two front-and-center applications for end-users on Fedora Workstation (and the Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop edition), rely on an unfinished work-in-progress library on Fedora Linux. Once major users like PackageKit and DNF are fully ported, a new stable release will be considered. Note that libdnf is currently being reworked and is considered unstable. It relies on the still in-development libdnf library which is a fairly new effort to port DNF from Python to C. ![]() However, PackageKit in Fedora Linux isn’t great. That is to say, you can use the same command-line interface - or programming API - for interacting with the host operating system’s package manager regardless of the distribution or underlying package manager. Other package managers and distributions are supported as well. The idea behind PackageKit is to provide a cross-platform front-end and API layer for common operations in popular Linux package managers such as APT for Debian and Ubuntu, DNF for Fedora and RHEL, Zypper for openSUSE and SUSE, and Pacman for Arch Linux. PackageKit is part of the magic that makes GNOME Software Center and KDE Plasma Discovery - the two most widely used “app stores” on Linux - work across different Linux distributions despite each having their own package manager. Here is some of the advantages DNF still gives you over PackageKit based applications. You may be better off sticking with the DNF package manager in the command-line even though PackageKit is the choice of all the graphical package managers. DNF has all the latest features and the best support, but PackageKit is put front and center in GNOME Software, KDE Plasma Discover, and as of Fedora Linux 26 also in Cockpit’s new Software Update panel. Fedora Workstation comes with two package managers by default: DNF and PackageKit. ![]() ![]() ![]() Some of the cupboard space you wonder why there's a door at all because it's just a waste of space. The doors were not automatic opening which might explain the broken glass. I couldn't do it without someone else and would have to walk despite pain if by myself. When we finally checked in, bearing in mind time was at a premium, trying to get out the doors to the rooms was tricky. The counters were up high and there was no way of not looking up at the staff / being looked down on. I was in a mobility scooter and I felt invisible to staff. The staff's awareness of what was happening outside of their computer screen was nil. The reception service was incredibly slow, it took forever to get served and the staff did not maintain any kind of queue on who to speak to next, so people kept jumping. I chose this place because it was listed as 3 star and cheaper than the 2 star Disney hotel. We arrived through the door to be in quite a dark open room, the glass on the doors out to the room was broken and everything just looked dark and run down. So brightly coloured and interesting with plenty of sunlight and friendly faces. I recently went to Disneyland Paris and as part of the Disney hotel and tickets, I booked to stay at Adagio as the website looks amazing. Local public transport bus 2 or 22 is available from bus stop a short walk away meaning the journey to Disneyland From here Disneyland is one stop away on the RER costing $1.90 and $5 into Paris City. In fact it was a 10 mins bus ride to Valley De Europe Train Station and shopping center.Cost of this is 2$ each. However this needs to be confirmed that this is likley if you have your own car. Location: Hotel is advertised as 10 mins from Disney. Beans and Sausages with scrambled egg along with hot and cold drinks. Breakfast: This was available from 7-10 and had a reasonable selection of pastries and continental choices. It did mean that you.could bring your own food / drink into the bar /restaurant area but again felt a little strange doing this. Again a strange situation for a best western. ![]() Food: On arrival we were advised there was no restaurant operating in the hotel so they had teamed with local restaurants in area for delivery. No fault of the staff as they were apologetic and did all they could however not what you would expect from a BW branded hotel. This wasn't a huge issue as where possible ice was given with drinks however the process of popping to the bar for a drink became a task. During our stay there were issues with chillers meaning no cold beer was on hand or chilled drinks. ![]() So required running between bar and reception to please everyone. Unsure if there were staffing issues during our stay but the bar and reception was run by one staff member. Bar: Not everyone using hotels will use a bar however we as a family like to wind down our day over a drink or two and a game of cards etc however here we found this simple task harder than needed. Rooms decor was a little quaint as decor across whole hotel is bird themed so deffo something a little different. These however may have been available had we asked. Secondly air con wasn't working in any of our rooms. So taking advantage of an empty top bunk we unpacked what we could and lived out of a case. However when unpacking it was quickly identified that 6 coat hangers and one shelf was never going to be enough storage for 3 bearing in mind the room can sleep 4. Bathroom has a decent size walk in shower and enough towels as you would expect. We had a bunk bed along with queen size bed in room. Rooms: At first glance rooms are spacious enough size wize. We found all three rooms to be very clean and tidy for our arrival which was welcoming after a long travel day. As a group of us we were given 3 rooms all next door or across the hall which was a nice touch. First of all we arrived later in the evening but check in was completed quickly and communication was fine as all staff we met spoke good English. Having spent 5 nights here recently we wish to post our findings our stay. ![]() ![]() I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim I may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen. Though I do give it props because it is doing exactly what it is meant to be doing. The hydrating gel in the Hydro 3 for me, like I said earlier, was just WAY to much in my opinion. I chose it because I personally liked the way that the head moved compared to the Hydro 3, and it did not leave a lot if any hydrating gel on my face. ![]() So overall they both did pretty well, but personally I would have to give it to the Mach 3. I had some trouble with this one, as I felt that I needed to push down somewhat to get the head to begin to pivot and move around some of the curves of my face, while the Mach 3 I did not have to push or do anything at all to get the head to pivot. The Hydro 3 has where pivoting action moves along a circular track. The head pivoted very easily as I was moving it along my face. Head Movement: The pivot point on the Mach 3 is down near the bottom of the cartridge. But that is what I felt after doing a pass with each razor. Though personally, as long as the soap/cream is doing its job I don't think that it should matter. While the Mach 3 you could not feel much if any hydration. It was enough to where you could take your fingers and feel/see gel come off your face in a small string. Personally, I though that the Hydro 3 had a little too much of the hydrating gel. Hydration: By far without a doubt the Hydro 3 had much more than the Mach 3. But to me they were so close that there is the possibility that they were pretty much the same. Closeness: At the end of the first pass I felt like maybe the Mach 3 had gotten just ever so slightly closer than the Hydro 3. Afterwards though, subsequent passes were really smooth with the Hydro I believe being smoother since it has more hydration gel in the hydrating pad. For my shaving cream I used Old Spice Original with the Omega 10066 Boar Hair brush. So here is how each razor stacks up to one another: Smoothness: When they both first touch my skin and cut for the first time, there was barely a slight tug from the Mach 3 and a tug that was mostly the same but slightly more noticeable from the Hydro 3. I shaved one half of my face with each razor. I just finished doing a shave with the Mach 3 and Hydro 3, so they will be first up. Then Finally for 2 blades I bought the Gillette Sensor 2 and the Schick ST2 disposable razors. I bought the Schick Xtreme 3 disposable razor that I will either pair up with the Gillette Sensor 3 or Sensor 3 simple (which style would you guys recommend?). So I went to my local stores and bought the basic Gillette Mach 3 and Schick Hydro 3 replaceable cartridge razors. These scenarios being where maybe I might be in a rush or I have traveled using a transportation method where I can't bring my DE blades onto the vehicle. But, I recently began thinking of where there might be scenarios where I can not use my trusty DE razors. It has been over a year or more since I have shaved with a cartridge razor. I love shaving with my DE razors and never plan on switching back to using cartridge exclusively. This is my first forum thread here, so forgive me if I possibly have this in the wrong area/section.įirst, a little information about the situation. ![]() ![]() Well watch out for those bears and gators! and keep the shiny side up! I'm down to just under 3 minutes for a full clean. Perhaps Iwata users aren't into full teardowns and H&S users are, and thus generating those reviews? I don't know, but I really like my current H&S Ultra and it's super easy to take apart and do a full clean. In fact I have checked the Hi Line HP HC, but it costs quite a bit more than the Infinity and all the reading I've done says the Iwata isn't as easy to clean as the H&S when doing a full teardown - which I do every time, often even between colours, so easy to clean is a must! If my cheapo plastic compressor didn't overheat I'd continue to limp on because it sort of works with my Ultra airbrush, but I'd like to progress in the painting department and I think I've reached the limit with my equipment. ![]() What should I do? Is the AC-27 good enough or is the lack of a tank noticeable and I'm going to have to buy another compressor yet again next year? I've got a dual tank 10 bar compressor in the workshop that is adjustable, but I don't know how low I can set it - and it's a lot louder than any of these!!! I already own it so that is one benefit - but it's very heavy, albeit on wheels, but dragging it out to the workshop whenever I need to use the compressor there isn't wishful either. I'm going to buy an H&S Infinity CRplus Two in One airbrush so that's £240 on top of the compressor, plus I will also need a moisture trap but those only costs around £17-ish. The Panzag also has a tank, bigger than the TC-610H but not by much. The TC-610H has a tank and will thus have a more consistent airflow, but will I really notice this on 15-20 PSI? It hasn't got a tank as far as I know and thus has to be "always on". The AC-27 is a "beginners" compressor but well within range of what I think is needed for scale modelling, but I don't know how good it is. I've spent more money than I could afford really on kits, paints and tools so I'm going to spend money I actually can't afford to be honest on a new compressor and airbrush, so I don't want to spend more money than I have to - but at the same time I don't want to buy something crap that I'm going to have to replace soon anyway. Not very good with acrylics like Vallejo and AMMO but works well with Tamiya. It's a plastic 10 PSI membrane pump to be honest. Today I've got the cheapest of the cheapest compressors, or "compressor" to be honest. Panzag has a max pressure of 57 PSI and airflow 20-23 lpm The TC-610H has a max pressure of 60 PSI and airflow 23-28 lpm The AC-27 has a max pressure of 50 PSI and airflow 13-16 lpm ![]() I'm using £1 = 10 SEK for exchange rate to make it easier for you) (the prices are not exactly these ones, but for comparison.
